Organized by WFUCA in Collaboration with KAZFUCA - UNESCO Participation Programme - Kazakhstan, Astana, 21-24 August 2013
The World Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Centres and Associations (WFUCA) during the 33rd Ordinary Session of the Executive Board of WFUCA adopted the plan of activities regarding the organization of the International Conference on “Global Ethics: Save the Planet Earth”, to be held in August 2013 in Astana, Kazakhstan, as agreed by WFUCA and by the Kazakhstan National Federation of UNESCO Clubs (KAZFUCA). The organization of the International Conference is supported by UNESCO within the framework of the Participation Programme 2012-2013.
The programme and plan of activities of the International Conference were presented by the KAZFUCA delegation during the meeting of the Executive Board of WFUCA which took place in Lucca and in Florence, Italy from the 9th to 12th March 2013.
The plan of activities of the International Conference includes speeches, presentations, discussions and debates from experts and high personalities such as philosophers, academicians, artists, people from the business community, as well as representatives and officials of the civil society, UNESCO, the United Nations, WFUCA, and KAZFUCA.
The main themes of the International Conference are: the framework of Global Ethics as a set of values and principles; the awareness of all citizens on their rights and their responsibilities; the intercultural global dialogue, and the interaction and communication for participation and partnership; the youth education and the culture of peace for the establishment of sustainable development based on human rights, and social justice.
