February: Annual General Meeting of the Federation in which a report was given by the President on the work done for the year 2009 by the Federation.
Election of Officers to serve on the Executive for the period 2010-2012 also took place. The newly elected Executive is:

Mrs. Gia Gaspard-Taylor - Secretary/Treasurer
Ms. Marilyn Temull - Assistant Secretary/Treasurer
Mrs. Marceline Cooper - Communication Officer
June: The Mayaro Environmental Wave UNESCO Club hosted SandSplash IV 2010 in celebration of World Environment Day. The celebration included:
- A march by Club Members through the streets of the town of Mayaro in order to enhance awareness of the day and the visibility of the UNESCO Clubs
- A Coastal Clean up of the Mayaro Beach and
- A Sand Sculpturing Competition between the various clubs, clubs in the North, East, South/Central and Tobago regions participated in this event.
August: UNESCO Clubs partnered with UNESCO Associated Schools in activities to commemorate the International Day for the Abolition of the Slave Trade.
March to June: Massive fundraising by all the clubs in the Federation to raise funds to assist people of Haiti who suffered as a result of the earthquake in January. This effort raised approximately $3200.00 US.
Individual clubs conducted their own activities throughout the year. These included celebration of International Days, outreach activities with children’s and senior citizen’s homes.
